Our Story: Empowering Niche Electronic Artists
Established in 2019 in Pune, Soundabode was born out of a simple but powerful realization: traditional music education often ignores the needs of modern digital creators. The classical route demands years of theory before touching an instrument, while standard audio schools treat electronic music as an afterthought. We decided to bridge that gap.
We built a workspace tailored entirely for music producers, sound designers, and performance DJs. Our mission is to take absolute beginners and guide them through a rigorous, hands-on syllabus that transforms their passion into professional-grade productions. Whether it is techno, psytrance, hip-hop, house, or ambient soundscapes, we give our students the technical and creative vocabulary to construct their unique sonic signature.
Our Four Pillars of Audio Education
At Soundabode, we reject the standard lecture-and-observe teaching model. Our methodology is built on active creation, critical listening, and peer collaboration. We structure our courses around four central pillars:
1. Absolute Hands-On Instruction
Students don't just watch tutorials; they construct tracks from day one. Every theoretical concept - from frequency spectrums to compression ratios - is immediately applied in our professional studio environment.
2. Custom-Tailored Mentorship
Our classes are kept intentionally small. This guarantees that every student receives individualized attention, detailed feedback on their projects, and guidance suited to their musical genre.
3. Real-World Club and Studio Standards
We train students on Pioneer CDJs, Ableton Live 12, analogue synthesisers, and high-fidelity monitoring systems. By working on industry-standard equipment, our graduates step onto any stage or studio with complete confidence.
4. Integrated Industry Pipelines
We teach our students how to navigate the business of music. This includes copyrighting tracks, pitch-writing for labels, self-distribution across streaming networks, and organizing professional DJ bookings.

Great electronic music demands an environment with clean acoustics and precision monitoring. Our academy is equipped to provide the ultimate learning experience:
Our main production suite features professional acoustic treatment designed to minimize standing waves and reflections, ensuring that what you hear is exactly what you get. We feature a range of hardware synthesizers (including Arturia, Korg, and Novation controllers), premium dynamic and condenser microphones, and studio monitors from Yamaha and KRK.
For DJ students, our dedicated performance deck features club-standard Pioneer CDJ setups. You will learn to navigate Pioneer CDJ-2000s and CDJ-3000s, Rekordbox database management, and professional mixing mixers. We believe that muscle memory on physical hardware is vital to delivering an outstanding live set.
Beyond physical equipment, all students get access to a curated library of samples, VST plugins, and educational materials. The studio spaces are open for practice hours, giving you ample time to hone your mixing, mastering, sound design, and arrangement skills outside regular class times.
